Did you see the new reports and research on the Salinas Valley basin? Upcoming workshops on the Salinas River will help you understand new analyses on factors contributing to flooding and flood impacts; allowable river management activities under existing programs; and other water, vegetation, and program management approaches to explore. Participant feedback will be encouraged.

These workshops are free and registration is encouraged. The information shared at each workshop will be identical.

The workshops are co-hosted by the Resource Conservation District of Monterey County and the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency, in partnership with the Monterey County Water Resources AgencyMonterey County Farm BureauSalinas River Management Unit Association, and Grower-Shipper Association of Central California.

Also, the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency requests growers and landowners fill out this survey about your experiences and priorities regarding Salinas River flood risk management by May 1 even if you can’t make the workshop. The information we receive will help us understand your priorities and interests around Salinas River flood risk management, and will help guide workshop discussion and next steps.
